Play-by: N/A
History: Wiki
Personality:
- Logan has a strong sense of honour and a strict moral code; he doesn't have nearly as many qualms as the rest of the X-Men and the Avengers towards killing, but he tries to limit his killing to when it's for the sake of the "greater good". He believes in debts and he believes in giving what is owed and not taking more than you need. Sometimes this moral code leads him to believe he has more of an authority in decisions than others do, and a healthy dose of pride makes that even worse.
- Logan is constantly conflicted between logic and instinct, especially taking his "berserker rage" into account (which triggers like a defence mechanism when he's especially infuriated or especially miserable). Though he thinks he's been doing better as of late with keeping the animal in him held back, he lives in constant fear that its more violent tendencies will win over the man he's been trying so hard to keep at the forefront of his life.
- Because as much as he wants to say he's a man, Logan is undeniably wild at heart... literally. He's more comfortable in quiet forests or jungles or anywhere that nature wins over man, and he has attachments to animals of all sorts, as they accept him as their family in the simplicity of a mutual understanding of doing what they all need to survive. The wild is one of the few places that Logan can still feel at peace, and when he's away from it he worries about the states of the places he's been to and even if the animals he's personally met are still doing well.
- Without the healing factor, Logan has become afraid in his mortality -- of dying, of being dead, of how much it might hurt, of the aftermath of his death and how his loved ones will be when he leaves this earth, of the fate of his soul and whether he'll have to go back to hell. It's strange to be afraid of something he'd been able to avoid for well over a century, and though it's not something he likes to flaunt, it leaves him raw both inside and out. It's gotten bad enough that he's finally gotten around to being the barest form of religious.
- But with the acceptance of his inevitable death, Logan has become more sentimental. Where his bedroom was once bare save for a single box, now he keeps personal effects of all sorts -- he takes pictures, he talks to people, he writes things down to remember them. Now that his life finally has an expiration death, he feels he can finally, truly appreciate the good things for what they're worth.
- With the sentimentality comes openness: Logan is no longer afraid of letting people in and getting to know them, and of telling them of the demons that have plagued him for so long. Though he likes to pretend he's still the gruff loner as advertised by his reputation, since becoming the headmaster of the Jean Grey School it's become difficult to keep that up. He cares, he worries, and he loves, and even if he's never been emotionless, he's finally reached a point where he can admit these things out loud without shame or fear.
How often do you clean?
Not much. [ Grunt. ] I don't own a lotta crap, don't have much to clean... [ Frown, head tilt. ] Does cleaning after those god damn Bamfs count? Because I've scrubbed more'a their shit off the walls than anyone on this earth deserves.
What do you do on the weekends?
These days, not much. Ain't nobody's business, anyway.
Do you smoke?
Not any more.
How often do you drink at home?
Used to be that I had a stash of whiskey, but the Bamfs took even that.
What time do you go to bed?
As early as I can. Which usually ends up being two, three in the morning...
Do you have any pets?
I got Chuckles the Bamf. I dunno if I want him around or not.
What do you do for a living?
Member of the Avengers Unity Division, leader of the X-Men. I used to be headmaster of the Jean Grey School, but a couple problems've cropped up. I've been tryin'a cut down on doing things that ain't very nice, but I guess it ain't in the universe's interests to give me a fucking break.
What do you want in a roommate?
I don't.
How often do you cook?
Uh -- [ A wince. ] I can use a microwave.
What are challenges you've faced in past living situations?
Never really had any proper living situations 'till recent, what with the School bein' a boarding school and all. For training it ran random battle simulations everywhere, but count on Henry to put lasers in the god damn toilet. And us in general for building it on top of a Krakoa. I don't know how many times the School's been destroyed at this point, but y'know. Mutant occupational hazards.
I guess I'm more used to livin' in shitty little rooms more than anything else. Don't even mind sleeping on the floor.
Anything else we should know?
Touch my bedroom door and I'll gut ya.
